Tiny Tim Geithner

While glancing at Drudge Report today, I came across a a few interesting articles about Treasury man Geithner. I honestly do not know what to think about him. First - he does not pay his taxes, and blames it on Turbotax [sending the company's stock who makes the software into the abyss]. Second - he claims (along with The President) we need a massive government spending plan to help stop foreclosure because it is becoming an epidemic and it is going to keep pushing us deeper into recession if we do not pay the bills of the irresponsible homeowners who bought to much house, or did not read their mortgage paperwork when they signed. Third - he starts to demonize oil and gas companies for "contributing to global warming" and not to long ago, The President was demonizing oil and gas companies for "making excessive profits".

Now, you can say I am incorrect, but what this seems like to me is someone who as a little child put on his dad's suit, strolled around the house proclaiming himself a young master of the universe, and never quite grew out of that role. I will admit, still being in college and being educated in the social science of economics, I could be wrong, but I am under the impression that when a company makes a profit, it is usually a good thing. Since when has it become chic and fashionable to demonize companies for what they are supposed to do? I am sure Treasury man Geithner will do more things that will simply amaze me, but until then, consider me totally amazed.
